yes- I understand (and I am not in what you call "our country" - I have been spending the morning editing and trying to make sense and write sense of what I want to do as a writer - and here on substack. I wrote a poem years and years ago with the line "every moment is someone's apocalypse" I feel like I could write that line over and over and over again as a call to compassion and as a reminder of what is. Keep writing.
